General House Rules

  1. Players must be seated in turn from the board. ABSOLUTELY NOEXCEPTIONS.
  2. Any player being seated FROM THE RAIL during the collection period may be dealt in at any position, providing he pays the Blind A player being seated FROMTHE RAIL outside of the collection period must either come in on the blind or straddle the pot ("kill it") to receive a hand.
  3. There are no seating changes at the table after a new player has been seated or the seat has been locked by the floorman or change person; EXCEPT when there is a change written on the board that has escaped the boardman's notice....
  4. Changes from one game to another are immediate. Players are required to move immediately and be dealt in the first possible hand in the game he is moving to. This rule DOES NOT apply to CERTAIN higher limit games. There are no "free hands" in these specific games. A player must either come in on the big blind or straddle (kill the pot) A player moving from a pan game is treated as a new player from the rail.
  5. No one is allowed to play anyone else's checks, or over their seat, without the floorman's consent
  6. All cards should be kept in plain view at all times. Players must protect their hands at all times.
  7. Passing of chips between players at the table is NOT permitted.';
  8. No playing behind.
  9. All chips must be kept on the table. When money is placed on the table, CHIPSMUSTBEREQUESTED.
  10. The minimum amount to be bet in any game shall be the smallest denomination of chip commonly used in the blind.
  11. Players must have a full buy when changing tables, EXCEPT when leaving a broken table. When a table breaks, cards are cut for choice of table of games of the same denomination. A player leaving a table, thus breaking same, is not allowed to return and cut for a seat
  12. When a player in a short game requests a seat in a lower limit game. The floorman must ascertain if the balance of players desire to cut cards in order to show FAIRNESS to all players. Four players or less is considered a short game.
  13. Players in a short game may not change their positions at the table.
  14. A player who quits a game must wait thirty (30) minutes before putting his name back on the board for the same game. If he returns to the same game before thirty (30) minutes has elapsed, he must buy at least the amount of chips he left the game with.
  15. If it is determined that the deal is out of position and there has been no action (as much as an opening Bet), all hands are dead and the deal adjusted. If the pot has been opened, the play continues and the deal rotates.
  16. Passing before the draw, a player passes out
  17. Players must act on hands in turn. Acting on a hand out of turn is not binding. A knock in turn constitutes a pass. If a player neglects to act in turn and there are three or more actions taken behind him, he forfeits his right of action. To eliminate forfeiting right of action, player must stop the action by calling "time".
  18. Money in the pot denotes a player's action. However, a player raising a pot should verbally declare the raise. If the raise is not declared, the raiser must inform active players of the raise before the draw or during the showdown. No active playing hand still intact shall be fouled if the player was unaware of a raise.
  19. If a call is made behind a raise, the player may withdraw his call if unaware the raise has been made.
  20. A short bet must be completed. If a player acting in turn releases any checks on the table with a forward motion of the hand, the bet or call must be completed.
  21. NO STRINGBETS.A player intending to raise must either have enough chips in his hand to complete the raise, or verbally declare the raise before releasing the chips into the pot in a continuous action.
  22. A knock in turn constitutes a pass, but a knock on the table may also mean the declaration of a pat hand. A player indicating a pat hand, not knowing the pot has been raised, may still play his hand providing no hand has been discarded.
  23. When a bettor miscalls his hand causing another player to abandon his hand, the pot is awarded to the remaining participants. If a bettor is called, the bettor must show down his hand first. If the bettor fails to show his hand and knocks on the table or makes a motion or verbal statement conceding the pot (take it, "snow", etc.) causing the caller to discard his hand, the bettor forfeits the pot.
  24. After the draw, if a bet is made and called, or check and check, all players have the right to see all hands if desired.
  25. Any card dealt off the table is a dead card, except the dealer's card.
  26. A player dropping any cards on the floor out of his hand must still play those cards.
  27. An exposed card is one that falls face up on the table. The dealer takes all exposed cards except boxed cards.
  28. Cards exposed face up in the deck are dead cards. The dealer shall place boxed cards in the center of the table and continue to deal, as if those cards were not there. Five or more boxed card in a row, all hands are dead, providing there is no action.
  29. If two or more cards of the same suit and value, or cards of different color appear in the deck, the deck is fouled and all hands are dead, providing the pot is still in play.
  30. If two extra cards are dealt off the deck (Le. two players have six cards) it is a misdeal. The cards will be reshuffled and dealt again. If only one extra card is off the deck, the hand plays. If the extra card is looked at, it is a dead card. If it is not looked at, it may be put back on the deck and used as a bum card. A card is always burned before the draw.
  31. The deck must be cut before the deal, but cannot be cut before the draw except on the floorman's request. The cut is made with ONE hand, straight out. Eight or more cards constitute a legitimate cut. The cards must be thoroughly shuffled with a "riffle" type shuffle at the end. Any player may request the cutter to riffle the deck once before cutting.
  32. The top card must be burned. Dealer's hand is dead if he takes the burn card. If the dealer deals the burn card to a player who places it in his hand, the card plays.
  33. On the deal when a players card is exposed face up by the dealer, that player shall receive another card from the middle of the deck.
  34. On the draw a player may change the number of cards called for, providing no cards have been dealt off the deck, or if the next player has not acted.
  35. If cards are dealt from the discards, players must keep those cards if they put them in their hands.
  36. The dealer must take the number of cards he has laid off the deck for himself without interruption.
  37. The dealer must pay attention on the draw. If the dealer delivers the wrong cards to any players in the hand, when they were verbally called for, his hand is foul.
  38. The dealer must tell the amount of cards drawn by players only while the deck is in action (until draw is completed and first bet is made). The dealer must always tell the amount of cards he has drawn.
  39. The dealer must discard from his hand before picking up the deck. If he picks up the deck without discarding, he may, at the discretion of the floorman, be forced to play his hand pat.
  40. Five cards constitute a playing hand, more or less than five cards after the draw isa foul hand. Before the draw, more than five cards is a foul hand if the player picks them up. A player having less than five cards before the draw may receive additional cards, providing the stub of the deck is correct and there has been no action on the hand (an opening bet).
  41. A player cannot win a pot with an illegal hand even if he bets and does not get called. If it is shown that a player had prior knowledge that the deck is incorrect, that player forfeits his right to any money.
  42. When a player is "all in" he should declare himself "all in" in turn, before and after the draw. If his failure to do so causes a possible winning hand to be discarded, he forfeits his right to the pot.
  43. Once a pot is out of play, no decision can be rendered by the floorman.
  44. Napkins, towels or check-racks are not permitted on the table.
  45. All conversations at the tables should be in English, while a hand is in play.
  46. NO POTTING-except for refreshments and cigarettes.
  47. The management reserves the right to refuse to seat a player at a table with another player or players that are friendly, related by blood or marriage, or playing "the same money" or based on past experience, playing "soft" with one another. A player who continually acts out of turn or creates disturbances will be denied playing privileges. Any situation not covered in the written rules will be decided by the manager. ALL DECISIONS BY THE MANAGEMENT ARE FINAL.
